Abrasive blasting is a technique for cleaning different surfaces, by the applied force of compressed air, moving sand or other abrasive material, directly over any given object. Different abrasive agents are used according to the specifics of the job.

Abrasive blasting is not strictly set for cleaning metal surfaces - it is aslo used for removing polish and paint from wood. Using abrasive on wood can obtain very pleasant look, replicate the natural aging process.

Plastics, concrete, building facades, etc, are also suitable for cleaning using abrasive agents.
