The "Dyado Petkovata Kashta" is located 10 km south from the old mountain city of Elena. She is surrounded by beautiful nature in small village at the Ostrets hill 600 meters up from the sea level. Our guest house is situated on the highest parts of the village with awesome view south to Stara Planina and Chumerna hill 1536 m.
Its build in 1933 by the hands of grandfather Petko in the traditional for the region architecture and now in 2006 is renovated by his sons. She is turned into a guest house for holidays and relaxation by individual and group tourist visits for every season of the year.
The location of the house gives opportunities for healthy activities and entertainments. If you search calmness, romance and excited experiences in the charm of the Balkan, come and visit the "Dyado Petkovata Kashta".
Accommodation
The house is sutuated on two floors with place 17 guestsseperated on 6 rooms. There 2 double bedrooms; 3 triple bedrooms (including room for one person) and room for four persons. Every single floor of the house is made with private bathrooms and toilets. The local heating system provides a confortable stay and you may also start fire in the old fireplace.
There is a furnitured kitchen for those who want to cook, fireplace, bbq and old fire owens. You may also order a fresh cooked food and traditional bulgarian meals from Elena region.
We may offer you and defferent types of wines, the bulgarian rakia and chiken, pork, lamb meat, fish and others. You just have to make the order in advance and we will set up your meals on time.

For those who love walking in the nature and mountains, the area offers several eco paths and tourist destinations which open the beauty of Bulgarian forest, the clean air, pure springs and rivers.
Also you may use a bike or ride a horse while your research in local nature. All who love to go fishing may do it absolutely free at the rivercoast of the Borovshtitsa and Veselina river in which water lives a lots of different types of fish. Near to our guest houe is the Yovkovtsi dam, which is another great challange for the fishermans.
If you simply want to rest and enjoy to natural beauties, we may organize a piknicks near to the riveside of Borovshtitsa, where we have build a special places for bbq and others. Near to our guest house is the Chumerna hill where you may go ski in the winter. There is a lot of churches and monasteries - Marianski, Plakovski, Kilifarski, Kapinovski - keepers of all bulgarian, there you may learn more about our old history.
