Saybolt – Bulgaria is an independent inspection company, which has own laboratories for analysis of petrol, petroleum products and of chemical products. Saybolt International is a group of independent companies with main activity the quality and quantity control of exported products (mainly crude oil and Petroleum products), analytical services of various products, as well as the design, development, supply of “turn-key” laboratories (including the installation of the equipment and the training of personnel). A fundamental philosophy of the company is the full independent inspection, without being influenced by any of the interested parties. Saybolt was established in Philadelphia (USA) in 1898 by Edward W. Saybolt and Mr. McCabe. Rapid development of oil production and refining in the beginning of the century, as well as the highly qualified specialists, original methods for quality and quantity control, resulted in a rapid growth of the company. The company expanded its activity in 1963 by starting a joint venture with the laboratory of Dr. Van Dyne in Rotterdam, and soon it operated 50 offices and 14 laboratories in Europe. In the year 2000 Saybolt officially started working on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. Nowadays, the central office of “Saybolt Bulgaria” Ltd is situated in Bourgas. The company is sertified by ISO 9001:2008. Some employees of our company are certified as per IATA and IFIA. Saybolt offers the following inspection services on the territory of Republic of Bulgaria - Quantity determination of the loaded / discharged oil / petroleum products by gauging ullage in the ship tanks, RTC’s and shore tanks, as well as calculation using the ASTM standards - Determination of remaining on board of vessel or railway tank car quantity before / after loading / discharging - Vessel Bunker Survey - Tank suitability inspection of ship tanks or RTC – Determination quantity of dry cargo – draught survey. Sampling before, during and after loading / discharging - Chemical analysis of oil and petroleum products in our own laboratories Saybolt Bulgaria according to ISO, ASTM, IP, GOST, etc.standards - Witnessing of analyses by our representatives in other laboratories - Quantity and Quality inspection of general goods for calculation of the quantity of a product, Saybolt Bulgaria uses international standard ASTM. For convenience of clients, the main result of calculation can be expressed in several units. The translation between different unit system is made using ASTM and API tables, and is an important part of calculation during import - export operations. Laboratory for analysis of Crude Oil, Petroleum and Chemical products The laboratory is accreditated by BDS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2006 Sybolt - Bulgaria is an independent inspection company, which has own laboratories: - for analysis of crude oil and petroleum products - for analysis of chemical products. Our laboratory offers services, using modern equipment, which is capable to satisfing any requirement of our clients. All Saybolt laboratories have been constructed and designed by the example of the main laboratory, situated in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and are sertified by ISO 9001:2008. Our laboratory is equipped with the most up-to-date apparatus. The equipment in Saybolt Bulgaria’s laboratory has been carefully chosen having in mind the requirements settled by the standard methods of analysis – ASTM, IP, EN, ISO, BDS. In its official reports, the laboratory of Saybolt Bulgaria gives only objective information as far as the results are concerned, though if requested by the client we can issue an official conclusion regarding the accordance of a product to a certain specification. Laboratory for analysis of chemical products can perform full analysis of products such as: - Benzene - Toluene - Acrylonitrile - Ethyleneglycoles (Mono-, Di-, Tri-) - Ethanolamines (Mono-, Di-, Tri-) - Acetone - Acetonitrile - Xylenes - Styrene - Methanol - Phenol and others. Apart from that, Test Center “Saybolt – Bulgaria” offers services of calibration of measurement devices like as hydrometers, density meters, apparatus for determination of flash point, apparatus for determination of vapor pressure of gasoline, apparatus for determination of cold filter plugging point of gas oil. The services are performed either at client’s place or in the laboratories of our Test Center by highly qualified specialists and issue certificates of calibration in compliance with standard EN ISO/IEC 17025.The best proof of the high quality of our services is that Saybolt’s official reports and certificates that are recognized by major commercial, financial and insurance companies, leading banks and governmental organizations world wide.
