TRANSLATION & INTERPRETING

Translations

Over the years, Prizma Translations has built a large team of qualified translators, linguists and philologists and now offers official translations from/into more than 35 languages

All translations are subject to proofreading. This is a final check and correction procedure, which includes polishing the text, verifying the field-specific terminology (business, legal, medical, technical, etc.) and ensuring its consistency. Certified translations usually need to be presented in a printed hard copy with our official stamps. You can pick up a printed copy at our offices or have it sent by a courier directly to you.

Interpreting

If you need in-person or onsite interpreting before a notary, at banks, in court or other state institution, during business meetings, negotiations, conferences and other events and occasions, Prizma Translations will engage the interpreter best suited to your project.

NB! In many cases, when foreign nationals sign official documents in Bulgaria, the presence and signature of a certified ("sworn") interpreter is required. We match the most qualified interpreter with each project making sure that he/she has the necessary competence, qualifications, and proven experience.

Legalisation & Apostille

What is legalisation? There are various terms used by different authorities to refer to the same process.

Legalisation is sometimes referred to by someone requiring an apostille. Some countries are parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, which means that only documents that have met certain criteria will be accepted by these member states.

However, other countries that are not part of the Convention will usually require the document to first be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country and then be attested by the country’s embassy. This process can also be referred to as legalisation.

The legalisation or Apostille process can be confusing. Prizma Translations will consult you, free of charge, about the requirements for authentication of the destination country of your document, for you to avoid costly mistakes.

Medical Students

If you are an international medical student who has graduated from the Medical Universities of Varna, Plovdiv, Pleven or Sofia, and you need assistance for obtaining the documents required to have your Bulgarian diploma recognised abroad (EU-wide, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK)

Prizma Translations renders assistance in obtaining the necessary documents for:

• recognition abroad of professional qualification and/or specialization acquired in Bulgaria in the regulated healthcare profession (doctors, dentists, nurses, etc.)
• recognition in Bulgaria of professional qualification and/or specialization acquired abroad in the regulated medical profession.

This service would be useful to you if you are a medical practitioner (doctor, dentist, nurse, etc.) who graduated in Bulgaria and wants to work or study abroad; or if you have studied abroad and want to evaluate your education to that in Bulgaria, etc.

You can authorize us to obtain (Bulgarian Medical Association, Bulgarian Dental Association, Ministry of Health, the court etc.) the following:

• certificate of professional qualification and/or specialization
• certificate of good standing and then to translate, authenticate and finalize them according to the requirements in the destination country.
• police clearance certificate, etc.
