Beet granules: The beet granules,dissolved in water , serve as ideal feed for milch animals as well as for all other types of ruminants. The residue has high levels of humectation, varying between 82% and 85%, and mainly consists of crude fiber (cellulose), hemicellulose, pectin, protein, and small amounts of crude fat, sugars and minerals. The cellulose, hemicellulose and pectin are not impregnate with lignin. This gives them high level of digestibility of 72-75%, as opposed to 40-60% in most kinds of plant feed The nutrition power of the dry substance, contained in the beet granules, is very high and close to that in barley and wheat. When added to the everyday feed, it increases the amount of fats and protein in the milk. The usual daily portion is 15-25kg for cows, and 2-4 kg for sheep/goats. However, in case of measures being taken for balancing of proteins, minerals and vitamins, the daily portion can be increased.
