Double twisted hexagonal net
Double twisted metallic meshes are used as an active safety system for the prevention from falling rocks, coverage of rock slopes, subject to erosion with tearing rocks. The nets are prepared in respect to EN 10223-3:1999 „Metal wire mesh for industrial use”.
Although these events are accidental, their frequency makes them extremely important for preservation of housing and infrastructure such as roads, highways and railway lines.
The net consists of steel wire shaped like a hexagon with double twisted ends. This twisting prevents the possibility of passing of rock mass in case of breakage of a single wire strand.
Along the edges of the network there is awire with a greater thickness known as selvedge, with a larger diameter than the diameter of the wire of the core net.

LITOSTOP is a system of ring nets, which can withstand statistical burden up to 690 kN (equivalent rock mass with volume of 27m3).
The ne is composed of intertwined rings (the resistance of the network corresponds to the resistance of one ring), without weak points (eg networks of wire ropes, have weak points in the points of connection and have the possibility of displacement), so this system has good strength and reliability.

The ring nets proved to be classical solution for covering of different types of rocks:

HYBRID types of barriers are used as safety systems at places with permanent landslides , helping to secure the control of hazardous areas. It consists of steel columns, located at an interval of 10 m, reaching a height of 4 to 5 m and are loosely connected at the base.
Anti-avalanche Barriers
Anti-avalanche barriers are used in their capacity of active systems for protection against the risk from falling avalanches. These nets are produced by the company Igor paramassi and are prepared at a height consistent with the height of the snow coverage and the degree of slope of the terrain.
Anti-avalanche barriers are installed to prevent and retain landslidesmass of unstable snow on the slopesby creating areas of interception and retention of the snow mass . As a general rule the nets are installed in several lines, in accordance with the morphological characteristics of the slope and its location.

Support structure - it is made of steel pipes on the required height, interconnected with a net attached to the base
Adherence structure - it is composed of triangular nets with the required size, made of steel galvanized ropes, attached with metal clips and fixed with perimetral ropes. Nets are attached to stands with "anchors" and to the base, with steel ropes.
Connection structure - comprised of steel wire ropes with the required size for distribution of the tension at the base of the barrier.
Structure of anchoring - it is composed of double metal torsos, which are oriented towards the side of the supports and are attached to each of them. They have the necessary sizes that provide the pressure distribution of snow mass.
